blow your breath
so people can see it
remember there's nothing wrong with love
defend the freedom to express it
assure people they can trust their hearts
slither right thru the fear and obsessions
smile at neurosis
show another way
Refuse detours, deflect smokescreens
shine so brightly
no amount of noise
cuts you down.
There will always be pettiness and meanness
and people's silly control games
that hinder them from hearing what you say.
Pass right around these things.
Spotlight the true.
Speak from the heart, of art
Allow the pornography of voyeurism no purchase.
Show instead you're real, you bleed, you laugh
you have a right to be in the world alive
exactly as you are.
Celebrate that
simply and fiercely
Don't be surprised when they love you.
Let love be.
